SMALL MAGIC v 1.0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is diz: This is the solution for those who like MagicWb but can't
afford to run a workbench in 640*512 or higher. I took all
the original MagicWB Icons (and some from other sources)
and rescaled them to suit my poorfolk 702*290 hires-overscan
workbench. After this I added some new icons, trashed some
of Martin Huttenholers and put them all together. I have
also included some brushes for ToolManager and a screendump
of my workbench in all its glory.
What's in it? Icons -> Loads
Presets -> Palette
-> WBPatterns
-> WindowPattern
-> GreenMouse
-> BusyMouse [NickPrefs]
Patterns -> StoneSpecky3
DockBrushes -> A number
Preview -> SmallMagic.Demo
-> DockBrush.demo
Can U run it? All icons included in this archive are in 8 colors, the
palette differs slightly from the original MagicWB palette
doubleclicking the SmallColors Icon should change it. The
Icons are designed to run in a resolution in wich pixels are
about twice as high as they are wide, examples are:
- Pal/NTSC-Hires (with or without Overscan)
- Pal/NTSC-SuperHires-Interlace
- Super72 nolace
Be sure to select 8 colors: if U still run Kickstart 1.3 go
buy 2.x or 3.1, you're outdated!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Legality: MagicWB is Copyright by Martin Huttenloher. For more details
check out the MagicWB archive for it's licence. Many of the
icons in this archive are based on icons that were designed
by Martin Huttenholer and other MagicWB artists. I will take
no credit for the artistic design of these icons even if the
rescaling took considerable effort.
Everybody using the icons from this archive is bound to
limits described in other icon-collections. Check out the
facts as discribed in Huttenlohers MagicWB to be on the safe
side. I am still trying to retrace all the other icons that
were not originally created by me. In the next version they
will be included in a trace.doc, but no yet.
I myself do not give a hoot about what you do with my icons
as long as you do not take credit for work that was not done
by yourself.
Distibution: These icons may be freely distributed via BBSs, InterNet/
UseNet, software libraries such as Fred Fish's and Aminet
CD-ROM, and other similar electronic channels, as long as
the archive is not modified, either by adding, removing, or
modifying files in it.
If you wish to include one or several of the icons in this
archive with other software, contact the author, Eric van
Velthooven, for the terms of distribution.
WARNING: By using these icons, you accept the full responsibility for
any damage or loss that may occur through their use. The
author can not be held responsible in any way.
Like it? This product is Freeware. This means you are free to thank
me in any way you like (a PicassoII would be nice).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installation: Do not copy the icons in this archive directly over the
original workbench icons. This way information contained in
the original icons will be lost forever!
For replacing the icon images, but leaving tooltypes and
position information intact, you can use ICONtrol by Stefan
Winterstein, found on Fish disk 603. If you don't have it,
get it. Lately some other updaters have been released also
check them out if you wish.
It may be fastest to examine the MagicWB installation script
and use it to install SmallMagic. I have never installed
these icons form scratch myself so don't ask me how to do
it.
